Compared to paying its full price of $69.99, this offer saves you just over $10 on the game, which isn’t bad at launch. It may not be a huge price cut, but a day-one deal like this is certainly still worth jumping on while it’s available. It’s also worth mentioning that you’ll get it as a Steam key to add to your library.
If action games are up your alley and you enjoy more challenging combat, wielding the sword in this latest Onimusha is well worth it. Writer Will Borger’s 10/10 review highlighted that, “Each time I landed a perfectly timed Issen, pulled off a risky deflect, or landed a combo at just the right time, I felt like I had accomplished something.”
Its rhythmic attack patterns will certainly keep you on your toes, but that’s not all. Borger also writes that it has “an excellent story to match” its action-packed combat, so you’ll have plenty of time to be invested in its world and characters as well.
The game uses the RE engine, and it even runs pretty well on the Steam Deck, which is always appreciated.
