I’ll tell you this right now: I’m already into what Lemonade Apocalypse is putting down. Let me count the reasons. First, its PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct reveal trailer is a very fun satire of both billionaires and the billionaire-mindset podcast industrial complex. Two, I think it will tickle the parts of my brain that just loves turning numbers into bigger numbers. Three, a lemonade apocalypse sounds much preferable to the various other apocalypses that feel like they’re on table for us right now.
Lemonade Apocalypse is actually a sequel to, uh, a game also called Lemonade Apocalypse. Stay with me. It’s an economic simulator and incremental game where the task is to sell your soul for the dollar as quickly and dramatically as you can. “Build recipes from 70+ ingredients with evolving properties,” the game’s Steam page implores you, right before it also implores you to “Fuel climate change” and “Manipulate voters.”

If you like anti-billionaire satire and/or turning small numbers into large ones, you’re gonna want to pay attention to Lemonade Apocalypse, an incremental game that tasks you with building an economic empire on the back of a lemonade stand. You might cause climate change and irrevocably poison global politics while you do it, but hey, you’ll be rich. Coming Q1 2027, wishlist it on Steam.
You will go from flogging your lemonade at a street-side stand to running an all-conquering, lemon-based capitalist empire. Morals have gone out the window. Friendships have been sacrificed on the altar of profit. All human feeling has been suspended. There is only you, the lemon, and the dollar.

So think something a little Cookie Clicker-esque, perhaps, but with more savage disdain for the ruling class and a bit more active involvement on your part. On top of “a genuine supply and demand engine” for your lemonade empire, the game also boasts “a presidential campaign,” more than 70 ingredients to experiment with, and “a political opponent who has been watching everything you do.” Which is assuredly fine.
This is hitting my fatigue with actual reality and my love of big numbers in all the right ways, folks. I’m pretty eager to get my hands on my competitors and grind them to dust under my boot.
