Baldur’s Gate 3 has dominated the RPG sphere for a good three years now, altering the genre for good with its monumental 2023 release – and, to celebrate, developer Larian Studios is gracing us with the game’s biggest sale yet.
Since Baldur’s Gate 3 launched some three summers ago, it’s only gone on sale a few times – but it’s only ever been discounted by about 20-25% max. This week, however, Larian is breaking the mold with a solid 30% price cut for Baldur’s Gate 3 on all platforms aside from Xbox: GOG, Steam, and PlayStation 5.
The studio reveals as much in a new online post, celebrating its now-beloved RPG’s legacy so far.

“Gather your party and face off against world-ending threats, or end the world with your own two hands,” it reads. “Baldur’s Gate 3 is now 30% off this week as we celebrate three years of adventure.”
In response, the dev also shares an amusing edited screenshot of Withers talking to Shadowheart. The highlighted dialogue jests, “This is the price of having a nice time with your friends.” Honestly, it’s not wrong – and “nice time” might just be an understatement.

To date, I’ve managed to rack up nearly 2,000 hours in the RPG – and many of these were spent playing alongside my partner and friends… so, you know, at $41.99 and 30% off, it really might just be the price of having a great time with pals. I’d wager it’s worth it at its full price, so it must be doubly so now.
Plus, a quick look over at SteamDB confirms what I said earlier – this is the lowest that Baldur’s Gate 3 has ever been priced.
