Arc Raiders players are gearing up for what is set to be one hell of an update in Frozen Trails. It has already been promised as the answer to a lot of Arc Raiders’ current issues, but now we also know it’s way bigger than any of us expected it to be, with new weapons, gadgets, and arcs. But I’m less concerned with all of those and more interested in its update to raider outposts.
“Celeste is offering Raiders who heed her call to explore Pendola Pass a home away from home: the Outpost,” an official blog post explains. “Nestled between the Rust Belt and the perilous mountain range, the Outpost is the first step to reclaiming parts of the surface.”
Players will now have the chance to expand their base of operations with the outpost. Until now, we’ve only had one room to call our own, which is very small and has very limited customisable options—sadly, you can only fit so many ducks inside. But the outpost provides way more space.

Here we’ll be able to customise this new base with different modules, furniture, and other changes to the interior. These new modules will also come in handy for the new weapon amplification which gives gear unique abilities like flammable ammo or rapid-fire in preparation for the new map Pendola Pass, which is set to be the most punishing area to date:
But honestly I’m less bothered about the outpost’s end game benefits as these’ll be modules that you’ll also be able to build down in Speranza. I’m just hyped to have more space and an actual chance to customise a base, and it’s a feature Embark’ll expand in future patches: “The Outpost is the start of a feature we hope to develop much further, eventually giving players a deeply personal space that allows them to become the Raider they want to be.” That’s certainly a good incentive to get me to start playing again.
