If you’ve got a nostalgia for PS2 era shooters, then you should definitely take note of Sprawl Zero.
This is a cyberpunk-themed blast-’em-up that wears its early 2000s influences on its sleeve. It promises “fast-paced but grounded” combat, complete with crunchy gunplay and brutal melee attacks.
Your super solider character also has access to a range of gravity-based abilities. You can toss foes like ragdolls, generate bullet-stopping shields, and even slow down time to land perfect headshots.
“Handcrafted levels feature multiple paths, verticality, and alternate approaches, rewarding experimentation and replayability,” reads the press release.
Sprawl Zero has looked really promising for a while, but it’s now been confirmed for a PS5 release on the 8th September.
Admittedly, that’s not great timing considering how ridiculously packed next month’s schedule is, but fans of old school FPS carnage will surely show up if the reviews are solid enough.
