Minecraft Dungeons II gets a brand new gameplay trailer

Are you excited for some more dungeon crawling action in Minecraft Dungeons II? There’s a new gameplay trailer out now ahead of the September release.

If you enjoyed the first game you’ll most likely enjoy this one too with plenty of new weapons, enemies, and features so it will be a familiar experience but all new and fresh. You don’t need to have played the first game though since they’re completely standalone.

From the Steam news post on it:

“Mysterious rifts are opening across the Overworld… but where do they lead? To the Sift – a new dimension coming to Minecraft Dungeons II. Gear up and team up to journey into uncharted lands and face threats unlike anything you’ve fought before. Discover new ways to customize your loadout and playstyle as you prepare for your toughest battle yet. Do you have what it takes to brave the Sift?

Pre-order now and get the exclusive Twisted cape, Twisted Chicken pet, and two hero skins!”

The first game actually has an “Unsupported” rating from Valve across Steam Deck / Steam Machine – despite lots of user reports showing it working well with Proton. Valve also rated it SteamOS Compatible, so none of their ratings for the original match up, hopefully they’ll get that re-checked. And, hopefully we’ll see Minecraft Dungeons II properly Verified for release.

Release Date: 📅 29th September 2026
